Though River Falls dealt with localized flooding, or "ponding" a few weeks ago, things have cleared up, and the city did not have major or widespread damage, according to Operations Director Mike Stifter. He said the city's stormwater ponds, and the community's attention to them helped mitigate spring flooding issues this year, and make them better than they otherwise could have been.
