The River Falls girls’ powerlifting team was honored for winning its second straight Wisconsin High School Powerlifting Association state championship in Appleton March 2-3 with a fire truck ride through town and a reception at the high school Saturday, March 9. Dick Ritger was one of the top bowlers on the PBA Tour in the 1960's and 70's and has been inducted into six different bowling halls of fame. His 1970 match against Don Johnson in the finals of the Firestone Tournament of Champions was recently voted No. 1 on the list of the PBA's 60th anniversary 60 Greatest Moments.
