Everyone got into the action in the River Falls Wildcat volleyball team’s 3-0 sweep over the Ellsworth Panthers Tuesday, Sept. 11, in Ellsworth.

The third-ranked Wildcats took care of the Panthers by scores of 25-10, 25-20, 25-18 to improve to 13-0 on the season.

“Everyone got in and saw lots of playing time,” head coach Sara Kealy noted. “I was proud of the girls’ effort to make changes on the items we have worked on this past week.”

The Cat’s big three of Halle Olson, Anna Wolf and Emily Banitt led the way with 14, 13 and 12 kills, respectively, with Banitt hitting a team-high .667.

Maddie Kealy dished out 19 assists and drilled four service aces while Abby Doerre passed at a team-high 2.32 clip.

Defensively, Mariah Marg came up with 10 digs while freshman Dani Lien had seven.

The match was the first in a busy week for the Wildcats that continues with a Big Rivers Conference match at Menomonie Thursday, Sept. 13, followed by the Mizuno-Charger Rally in Milwaukee this weekend, Sept. 14-15.

“We have a huge tournament this weekend and wanted to use our Ellsworth and Menomonie matches to fine tune some things,” Kealy said. “We’re off to a good start.”
