After picking up two points in a non-conference loss to Amery Monday, May 6, the Wildcat boys' tennis team ended the regular season with a 7-0 loss to 24-time Big Rivers Conference champion Eau Claire Memorial Tuesday, May 7, at the high school courts.

Chris Beadles posted a 6-1, 6-2 victory at No. 4 singles Monday against Amery and Alexander Koehn and Paul Lindall squeaked out a 7-6 (7), 5-7, 10-8 win at No. 2 doubles but Amery held off the Cats for the 5-2 team win.

Hayden Rock and Indigo Meads came close to picking up a third point for the Cats at No. 3 doubles but came up short, 6-3, 5-7, 10-8.

The Wildcats had a tougher time against perennial BRC powerhouse Eau Claire Memorial one day later. Derick Graves managed to win two games at No. 2 singles in a 6-1, 6-1 loss and Matthew Chapin and Jack Dehne at No. 1 doubles, and Koehn and Lindall at No. 2 doubles, lost by identical 6-1, 6-0 scores but that's as close as the Wildcat could get.

Next up for the Cats is the WIAA Subsectional Monday, May 20, in Eau Claire.
