The River Falls hockey team faced an ornery Hudson squad that was coming off back-to-back losses Thursday night, Dec. 6, and the defending state champion Raiders took out their frustrations on the Wildcats by outshooting the Cats 50-5 on their way to a 5-0 victory.

Hudson held River Falls without a shot in the opening period while peppering Wildcat goalie Jake Miller with 22 of their own. The Raiders scored on three of those attempts, one on a power play, to take a 3-0 lead.

Hudson added single goals in the second and third periods to make the final 5-0. The Raiders finished 2-for-6 on the power play while River Falls was 0-for-3. The Wildcats had two shots on goal in the second period and three in the third while Miller finished with 45 saves.

River Falls, now 0-5, will host Menomonie (2-4) Tuesday, Dec. 11, at 7 p.m. at Wildcat Centre.
