Boys Golf: Wildcats finish 4th in BRC

Maxamillian Xiong fired 72 to tie for second place and lead the Wildcat boys’ golf team to a fourth place finish at the Big Rivers Conference Tournament Thursday, May 16, at Lake Wissota in Chippewa Falls.

The Cat’s fourth place tournament finish, combined with the results of the six regular season conference matches, left them in fourth place in the final BRC standings.

Rice Lake won the tournament with 304 but Hudson clinched the overall title with a second place score of 307. Eau Claire Memorial was third with 314.

Taylor Thompson also finished in the top ten individually with an eighth place score of 76 while Taylor Rotsaert shot 83, Trey Timm scored 90 and Justin Graetz had a 92.

Simon Cuskey of Rice Lake earned tournament medalist honors with 70.

Next up for the Wildcats is the WIAA Division 1 Regional Tuesday, May 21, at Nemadji Golf Course in Superior.
