WBCA Academic All-State

The Wisconsin Basketball Coaches Association has announced its 2021 boys and girls basketball Academic All-State awards, recognizing both teams and individuals who have achieved great success in the classroom.

For the third straight season the River Falls boys were honored as one of the top three teams in Division 2. The Wildcats’ cumulative grade point average was 3.67, third behind only Burlington’s 3.83 and Xavier’s 3.67.

Somerset’s girls made the list for the third time in four years with a team GPA of 3.97. Only Stanley-Boyd’s 3.99 was higher in Division 2.

In addition, Somerset senior Trae Kreibich became the first Spartans boy in team history to earn WBCA individual Academic All-State honors. Just 15 boys from all divisions received the honor.
