River Falls opened the game on a 15-1 run and never looked back on its way to a 61-42 victory over Eau Claire North in a Big Rivers Conference girls' basketball matchup Friday night, Jan. 25, at the Cat's Den.

Eau Claire North scored the game's first point on a free throw before the Wildcats rattled off 15 straight points. Back-to-back fast break layups by Taylor Weick made it an 11-1 game and Kylie Strop hit a pair of baskets before the Huskies stopped the bleeding with a three-pointer at the 9 minute mark. The Cats led 33-19 at halftime before pushing the gap to 19 at the end.

Bailey Reardon led River Falls with 24 points and 11 rebounds while Strop finished with 18 points and 18 boards.

The win avenged a 61-54 Wildcat loss to the Huskies Nov. 30 in Eau Claire and bumped the Cat's record to 8-7 overall, 3-4 in BRC play. They will visit Hudson (10-5), 6-2) Tuesday, Jan. 29.
