How long have you been playing town ball?

Since I was 18.

What do you love most about town ball?

Just the competitiveness and being around the guys. It kind of makes me feel a little younger, except for two days after pitching.

Do you have a favorite town ball memory?

There are a couple tournaments, like that one year I pitched for the Fish in Osceola. It was 12 at night when we got started and the guys were giving me grief because I was sleeping under the tree before the game. And there’s a lot of good memories of all the guys around the league. They make it fun.

What do you do in the real world?

I'm a teacher down in Pepin-- fifth grade teacher and baseball coach for the Pepin-Alma School District.

How much longer do you see yourself playing?

Oh, that's a good question. Each year I say it's going to be my last. I said my cleats are all worn out so I either have to retire or buy new ones, and the guys started throwing money at me in the dugout. So I think I'll try again next year. We'll see how it goes.
