The River Falls Branch of AAUW will hold its annual community book sale for three weeks in October: Thursdays, Fridays from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., from Oct. 14 through 30. It will be held at 126 N. Main Street, River Falls, the former site of Global Made and next door to Domino’s.
In addition to donations of well-loved but gently used books, this year we are taking complete puzzles and media as well. We cannot use textbooks, out-of-date resource books, condensed books and magazines.
Bring books to Family Fresh and Dick’s Market in River Falls and Country Market in Hudson. Donation barrels were set by Sept. 1. Large quantities of books can be dropped off at the sale site 4-6 p.m. Wednesdays and 10 a.m. to noon Saturdays now through Oct. 9.
Except for 2020, this annual event has provided scholarships funds for women students from Chippewa Valley Technical College and University of Wisconsin-River Falls for over 30 years. AAUW looks forward to the continued community support for this meaningful event by both its donation and purchase of books.
Founded in 1881, AAUW has promoted its mission to advance “gender equity for women and girls through research, education, and advocacy.”
