Wellhaven Happenings: An active and comfortable place to call home
Before Bernice Deiss retired to Wellhaven Senior Living, she had various jobs. She worked as a maid in St. Paul with Angeline Falteisek, a fellow Wellhaven tenant and old friend, she took jobs to help new mothers, and she worked at the Lang Factory in River Falls at the same time as Wellhaven tenant Esther Andersen.
Prior to her retirement, Bernice enjoyed working on her farm, dancing and raising her five children.
After her children were grown and her husband passed, she fell in love with travelling. She loves to share her stories with her friends at Wellhaven and even those who aren't neighbors ... yet.
She is sure to share with seniors who don't live at Wellhaven: "Move in while you are young enough to enjoy it!"
Bernice has called Wellhaven home for the last six years. She says, "Wellhaven keeps me busy, I have friends here and we play lots of games."
In fact, Bernice spends much of her day keeping busy with activities, including participating in exercise classes, enjoying the view from the patio, drinking coffee with friends, and attending parties. When she needs quiet time, she enjoys reading in the comfort and peace of her apartment.
Bernice is happy with her home at Wellhaven and expresses it clearly with her beautiful smile and positive attitude.
With a strong history in the River Falls community, Wellhaven has been the top choice of housing for those who want to stay active and independent. Schedule a tour by calling Beth Ann Schultz at 715-426-4626.
