In 2009, the River Falls Senior Center moved into Wellhaven Senior Living. The move has created a wonderful partnership and provides many opportunities for Wellhaven tenants. Over the years, the Senior Center has become an important part of Wellhaven.

Working together, the two organizations give seniors within the River Falls community and Wellhaven tenants a chance to socialize. Several events are hosted in which both groups of seniors are welcome to attend including social gatherings, games, themed meals and health focused events.

One specific event is Bingo, which is held at 1 p.m. on Mondays at Wellhaven Senior Living, 119 Union St. in River Falls. Seniors from the community are welcome to join Wellhaven tenants for a few games.

"New players are always welcome," said River Falls Senior Center Director Faye Simone.

Another opportunity available for socializing is to join Wellhaven tenants for a meal in the dining room. Cost is $5 per meal.

One service offered by the Senior Center is toe nail care to seniors.

"Everyone always has great things to say about their experiences getting their nails done," said Wellhaven Manager Beth Ann Schultz. "They especially like the foot soak."

Once a month, Wellhaven hosts a community event to invite seniors for food and merriment. Thank you for those that joined us for the Mother's Day Celebration. Next up is our Men's BBQ event in celebration of Father's Day at 5 p.m. on June 13. To RSVP, call Laura at 715-426-4633.
