Wellhaven column: Enjoying the Lenten season

As a Christian organization, the Lenten season marks an important time for Wellhaven Senior Living. Wellhaven's Chaplain, Pastor Kenley Mann, plans special Lenten services for Wellhaven tenants.

Olive Mulhullom, Wellhaven tenant, and Donna Miller, St. Bridget's Catholic Church volunteer, are hosting a Lenten program in Olive's apartment every Tuesday until Easter. All are welcome to attend.

On Ash Wednesday, March 6, several Wellhaven tenants received ashes.

Wellhaven partners with several local churches to accommodate different religions. Our tenants

appreciate these opportunities as traveling can be difficult for seniors in the winter.

Easter may be late this year but it is approaching quickly. Soon the Lions Club Easter Egg Hunt and Carnival preparations will begin. These preparations are a wonderful volunteer opportunity for all River Falls community members. Preparations, including stuffing the Easter eggs, will be held at 4 p.m. Thursday, April 18 at Wellhaven. The Lions Club Easter Egg Hunt and Carnival will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, April 20 at the River Falls High School.
