"The Christmas tree is a symbol of love, not money. There's a kind of glory to them when they're all lit up that exceeds anything all the money in the world could buy." ― Andy Rooney

In lieu of giving gifts or participating in a Secret Santa exchange, Wellhaven team members decided to start a new tradition. In pairs, team members were tasked with decorating a 2-foot Christmas tree.

In the beginning, team members were slightly intimidated by the very small size of the trees. That didn't last long as team members began to work and decorate. No two decorated trees were alike.

Wellhaven tenants, families and guests were asked to vote for their favorite Christmas tree. They were also eager to learn which tree had received the most votes.

The winning tree (pictured fifth from left) was decorated by Brandon Saumer, Wellhaven Maintenance Manager and Pastor Kenley Mann, Chaplain at Wellhaven. It was a fun experience for team members and tenants as well as community members who stopped in to see the decorated trees.
