On Aug. 4 at 3:51 a.m., River Falls Police were alerted to a vehicle pursuit in progress by the Pierce County Sheriff, attempting to stop a pickup truck towing a construction trailer owned by Rudesill Builders Incorporated. The owners did not provide consent for the trailer to be used. A deputy stopped the vehicle and apprehended the driver. 


A break-in was reported at 10:10 a.m. Aug. 4, having occurred sometime between 6 p.m. and 8 a.m. on Pearl Street. Nothing appeared to be stolen, but the spare key to the residence was missing and both front and back doors had been unlocked. 

On Aug. 9, 6:15 a.m., a complainant reported white paint on her vehicle. The paint was wiped off and no damage appeared to be done. 


A disturbance was reported around South Main Street and Cascade Avenue at 11:41 a.m. Aug. 5 between a male and female. 

An injunction violation was reported by a complainant at 12:30 a.m. Aug. 8. after being contacted by cell phone and threatened. 

A fight was reported in progress at 11:47 p.m. Aug. 8 on North Main Street, involving three males who had been drinking.

Two males were reported arguing near DeSanctis Park, one displaying a knife, at 11:48 a.m. Aug. 9. Both males left the scene prior to officers’ arrival. No one was reported injured and both males were contacted.


At 7:22 p.m. Aug. 5, a complainant reported that her dog was attacked by three other dogs while on a walk on Maple Street. A citation was issued for dogs running at large. 

A friendly, gray and white cat with no collar or tags was brought to the department to be impounded at 10:33 p.m. Aug. 9. A chip was found and the owner identified.
