An Ellsworth man was airlifted from a single-vehicle crash shortly after 12:25 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 24. Hunter Schoengarth, 23, was flown by Lifelink helicopter to Regions Hospital, St. Paul.

He was eastbound on 650th Avenue near 410th Street in Gilman township when his Chevrolet Silverado left the road, according to the Pierce County Sheriff’s Office. The vehicle entered the north ditch, vaulted over 410th Street and went airborne before striking a power pole. He suffered undetermined injuries. 

The Pierce County Sheriff’s Office was assisted on scene by Ellsworth Area Ambulance, Ellsworth Fire Department and Lifelink III Air Ambulance Service.
