The River Falls Rotary Club announced Lazy River Bar and Grill, 115 W Walnut St., as the 2023 winner of the River Falls Rotary Burger Battle.
After a multiple-year hiatus the River Falls Rotary club resurrected the local Burger Battle this past January and February.
This year’s competitors were Bold, Paddy's Pub & Boxty House, Smokey Treats BBQ, St Croix Lanes, Tarnation Tavern, Tattersall Distilling and The Table on Main.
Each participating restaurant was asked to donate 250 burgers of their choice for the competition. The River Falls Rotary Club sold all 250 tickets and there were over 1,000 burgers consumed over the course of the contest.
After tasting the burgers, voters cast their ballot at each restaurant.
Once the winner was announced, Rotarians gathered at the restaurant for a happy hour meeting and presented the award to Lazy River Bar and Grill owner Pat Smith.
The River Falls Rotary Club would like to extend a huge thank you to all the restaurant participants for donating 100% of the profits for this River Falls Wisconsin Rotary Club fundraising effort. Because of their generosity and the community members who bought tickets, the Rotary Club is able to enhance the opportunities for the youth in the community and create a better world for all.
