The Village of Roberts hosted a public hearing at the Tuesday, Aug. 17 meeting in regards to the adoption of an ordinance amending the Joint Comprehensive Plan for Roberts and the Town of Warren.

Representatives from Ryan Companies, the developers of the Mallard Project, were present, providing answers to some community members' questions.

After hearing various comments and concerns from the community for about two and half hours, the board opted to table a vote to shadow the previous evenings motions from Warren.

Roberts board members were also interested in seeing the report from the Department of Transportation as well as the environmental impact studies prior to voting on the following:

  • Intergovernmental Agreement between the Warren Township and the Village of Roberts

  • Ordinance to amend the Joint Comprehensive Plan for the purposes of updating and modifying the future land use amp incorporated in the Plan

  • Discussion and approval of Revised Preliminary CSM for Ryan Companies US, Inc., for the property located East and South of Dollar General
