The City of River Falls Residential Parking Permit System ordinance goes into effect on Sept.1, 2021 through May 31, 2022 for most residential parking zones. These zones will be enforced from 7 a.m. – 4 p.m., excluding Saturdays, Sundays and legal holidays. 

Zone C in the Residential Parking Zone is in effect from Sept. 1, 2021 through Aug. 31, 2022. Zone C is enforced during the hours of 7 a.m. – 7 p.m., also excluding Saturdays, Sundays and legal holidays.

There is no fee for the initial permit. Replacement permits are $50, transfers are $10.

Permits will be issued by the City Clerk’s office at City Hall and can also be obtained by submitting an online application. Proof of residency must be provided with your application.  

You may pick up an application from City Hall or the Police Department, and are asked to then mail in the application to City Hall, Attention City Clerk, 222 Lewis Street, River Falls, WI 54022. Regardless of online or in-person request, your application will be processed and permit mailed to you.

The City requests that all outstanding parking violations be satisfied prior to issuance of a  new permit. 

This year there will be limited in-person application times at City Hall.

Monday, Aug. 23, 2-4 p.m. 

Wednesday, Aug. 25, 10 a.m. - noon  

Tuesday, Aug. 31, 2-4 p.m.

Wednesday, Sept. 1, 10 a.m. - noon 

Thursday, Sept. 2, 9 a.m. - noon

Wednesday, Sept. 8, 2-4 p.m. 

Thursday, Sept. 9, 10 a.m. - noon

If you are unable to obtain a permit during the designated times, you may call the City Clerk’s  office at 715-425-0900 to make an appointment during normal business hours.
