Sirens rtsa

On Sunday, Dec. 19 at about 8:15 a.m., the Pierce Sheriff’s Office was notified of an accident on State Road 35 near County Road E. in Prescott, Wis. Richard Perkins, 63, of Prescott, was located in the vehicle that had gone off the road and was pronounced deceased on scene by the Pierce County Medical Examiner’s Office.

Arriving deputies were able to locate a single set of tracks leaving the roadway. It was determined Perkins was operating a Chevy Tracker, traveling northbound when he left the roadway and entered the east ditch. The vehicle continued through the ditch and struck several trees hidden from view.

The accident is still under investigation by the Pierce County Sheriff’s Office.
