Ellsworth woman taken to hospital after striking deer
An Ellsworth woman was injured Thursday night when her vehicle struck a deer and caused her airbags to deploy.
Pierce County Sheriff's Office deputies responded to the crash at 8:20 p.m. Oct. 18 at Highway 65 and County Road J's south intersection in the town of Ellsworth.
Sandra A. Mctie, 64, was traveling south on Highway 65 in a 2018 Mitsubishi Mirage when she struck a deer, causing the airbags to deploy. EMS transported Mctie to Mayo Red Wing Hospital for undisclosed injuries.
Ellsworth Area Ambulance assisted PCSO on the scene. The crash remains under investigation by the PCSO.
