RF student expelled
On June 3 the school board met in closed session and voted to expel a student for allegedly possessing drugs on school grounds.
The male student is a 17-year-old Renaissance Academy junior.
The alleged drug violation occurred at the Renaissance school program, located at the River Falls Academy, on Thursday, Feb. 19.
According to Superintendent Tom Westerhaus, action to expel the student was delayed pending the outcome of a police investigation.
