Grab a Covid-19 vaccine at Pierce County Public Health's vaccine clinic and a job with UW-River Falls the following day. 

Walk-In Covid-19 Vaccine Clinic

On Tuesday, Aug. 10, Pierce County Public Health is hosting a vaccine clinic at River Falls High School from 4-6 p.m. No appointment necessary. The vaccines are available for anyone 12 and older. Those under 18 must receive parental consent. Following the first clinic, providing the first dose of the Pfizer vaccine, a second clinic will be hosted on Aug. 31 where the second dose will be offered. The one dose Johnson and Johnson vaccine will be available for those 18 and older.

PCPH states “start the school year with all the benefits of vaccination: skip quarantine if identified as close contact, reduce time away from school and sports, keep yourself and your friends and family safe.”

UW-River Falls Dining Hiring Party

On the spot interviews will be offered at the UW-River Falls Dining hiring party Wednesday, Aug. 11 from 3-6 p.m. No resume needed to apply for the full and part time positions available, including supervisors, cashiers, grill cooks and more. There will be free food and giveaways. 

Wisconsin Fair Maps Coalition at Rush River Brewing

Rush River Brewing will host Wisconsin Fair Maps Coalition on Thursday, Aug. 12 from 4-7 p.m. You are invited to join in writing postcards to legislators on the committees where the bills are currently to ask them for a hearing. Bills such as Assembly Bill 395 and Senate Bill 389 will help create fair maps in Wisconsin.
