WESTconsin Credit Union Collecting School Supplies

WESTconsin Credit Union begins its 13th annual support of local students through a Back to School Drive Monday, July 19-Saturday, July 31. Supplies will be accepted at all offices in the Kindness Counts collection bins near lobby entrances. Visit for more information. 

St. Croix Valley Community Band

Join the “party with a purpose” to celebrate the St. Croix River July 20-24 in Hudson. “While the goal of RiverFest is to get people out to enjoy the river, the purpose for the celebration is to build awareness of the river, our environment and education on the need to preserve our water quality,” states a press release for RiverFest. Check out for event details, including river cleanup, yoga in the park, hiking and more.

Kinni brush and downed tree removal

Kinnickinnic River Land Trust is planning an up to 12 person volunteer work party to remove brush and downed trees using heavy duty loppers and chainsaws at the Community Forest on Wednesday, July 21 from 8 a.m. to noon. The Community Forest main entrance, located off of CTH FF in River Falls. Individually packed lunches and refreshments will be provided at the end of the volunteer event. Volunteers will need to bring their own work gloves, safety glasses, loppers and/or outdoor hand saws. Several chainsaws are needed along with required safety equipment (work boots, chaps, helmet, face shield and hearing protection). Registration is required for this event.

Head over to the Hudson BandShell on Thursday, July 22 at 7 p.m. for the St. Croix Valley Community Band’s RiverFest performance. 

The Jam at Junior’s

Every Wednesday from 6-9 p.m. Junior’s restaurant hosts live music with surprise guests.
