Trio of sisters to compete in national youth rodeos
Three Martell sisters — Tabitha, Rebekah and Anna Tschanz — have earned positions to compete in national youth rodeos.
Rebekah, a junior student at St Croix Central Virtual School, has earned a position on the Minnesota State National High School rodeo team and will travel with teammates to Rock Spring, Wyo., July 15-21 to complete at the 70th annual National High School Finals Rodeo in the barrel racing competition.
Tabitha, a recent graduate of the St Croix Central Virtual School, and Anna, a ninth-grader at River Falls High School, qualified to compete at Little Britches National Final Rodeo in Guthrie, Okla., at the Lazy E Arena July 10-15. They each will compete in barrel racing and breakaway calf roping. In addition, Tabitha earned the Top Hand award for winning five rodeos in her local Little Britches region. She also earned a scholarship and position in college rodeo at Kansas State University.
