Terry Phillipps, 44

Terrence Glenn "Terry" Phillipps, age 44, of Spring Valley, Wis., and formerly of Prescott, Wis., died on Saturday, Jan. 2, 2010, at United Hospital in St. Paul, Minn.

Terry was born August 12, 1965, in Hudson, Wis., to Glenn Franklin and Audrey Lorraine (Corcoran) Phillipps. Terry attended school in Prescott, and then River Falls High School, where he graduated from the class of 1986.

Terry was a Green Bay Packers fan who also enjoyed board games, card games, playing 6-5-4, drawing cars and trucks, playing Bingo, and writing short stories. Terry just loved being involved!! Terry previously spent time making friends and working through the Pierce County Developmental Activities Center, and over the last seven years, Terry has been a resident of the Spring Valley Care Center. There he enjoyed socializing with many of the staff and residents, as well as participating in the parades in Spring Valley. Most of all though, Terry has been a good brother and a good friend to many. He will be missed dearly by all those who knew and loved him.

Terry is survived by his brother, Randy (Debbie) Phillipps; his sisters, Sharon Phillipps and Sandy (Bob) Lulloff; two generations of nieces and nephews who adored him; as well as numerous cousins, other relatives and good friends.

Terry was preceded in death by his parents, Audrey and Glenn "Bud" Phillipps.

The family would like to express their sincere thanks and appreciation to the staff at Spring Valley Care Center for their loving care and friendship.

A Mass of Christian Burial for Terrence G. "Terry" Phillipps will be held at 3 p.m. Friday, Jan. 8, at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, 269 Dakota St. S., Prescott, with Father Ed Shuttleworth officiating and music provided by Beth Voss and Dorothy Most. Visitation will be held one hour prior to mass at the church. Interment will take place in St. Joseph's Catholic Cemetery. Memorials may be left to the discretion of the family.
