"Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of

God's grace in its various forms." (1 Peter 4:10)

National Volunteer Appreciation Week, held April 7—13, allows for a time to recognize, honor and celebrate volunteers. To celebrate our volunteers, we have a photo book on display in the Fireside Lounge at Wellhaven Senior Living. The photos feature all of the different activities that volunteers help with throughout the year within our care community.

Many of our volunteers are Wellhaven tenants, as well. They often host different activities and help to keep them running smoothly. Volunteers often help with sorting and various tasks around our care community. Sharing their time and helping allows them to stay active.

"If it weren't for our hardworking dedicated volunteers, we wouldn't have Bingo every week or a puzzle always going," said Wellhaven Manager Beth Ann Schultz, LPN.

Wellhaven thrives on the generosity of our volunteers. Many school and community groups share their time while hosting events or craft nights for our tenants. Wellhaven tenants enjoy game nights and the musical entertainment volunteers share with us.

Thank you to all volunteers. We are grateful you share your time and talents with Wellhaven and our tenants.

Looking to share your time? Wellhaven is always recruiting volunteers! Lending a hand not only fosters community well-being, but is a rewarding experience. There are many ways you can make a difference.

We are seeking a variety of individuals — we're looking for all ages, professions, and interests. Our upcoming volunteer opportunity is filling Easter eggs for the Lion's Club Easter Egg Hunt beginning at 3 p.m. April 18 at Wellhaven Senior Living, 119 Union St. in River Falls. For more information, contact Laura at 715-426-6433 or lbswanson@tlha.org.
