Wellhaven column: You're invited to a chili cook-off

Suddenly, it's January — and there is so much to do already. Since our annual Tree of Love

Fundraiser last month, we have raised funds for our dining room renovation. Each day we are

privileged to serve more than 200 meals to the 60 tenants that call Wellhaven home, their

guests and members of the River Falls Senior Center.

With a strong history in our community, Wellhaven has been the choice of housing for those

who want to stay active and independent. We are involved in the community and partner with

local organizations to give back to the community.

Updating our dining room will benefit not only our tenants and team members, but the

community as well. Many who live outside our walls come to Wellhaven for a senior center event, holiday meal or to visit with friends. We continue to serve our community and look forward to when we will be able to update the space.

All gifts given in the last few months have gone toward our dining room renovation. We have already raised $1,500! Thank you to those who have supported this project. But more is

needed. You can help our efforts go even further!

Join us on Thursday, Feb. 7 at 5 p.m. for a Chili Cook-Off. All proceeds will go toward our

dining room renovations. Support our renovations at tlha.org.
