Wellhaven column: Staying warm at Wellhaven

Brrr ... it's cold! Despite the cold weather, Wellhaven Senior Living tenants continue to stay active. Aside from the games and independent activities always available to tenants, Wellhaven team members have been striving to keep tenants involved in other ways.

Group activities include Bingo, worship services, ice cream socials, coffee time, exercise class and more!

Team members also spend time visiting with tenants and offering them opportunities to be active. Both tenants and team members are looking forward to warmer days and being able to spend time outside. Until then we will settle for little things like an indoor luau or warm beverages like hot apple cider or cocoa. During the winter months, it is important for all seniors to stay connected and socialize. To reach all in the community, Wellhaven partners with the River Falls Senior Center to host free senior events.

"Seniors need a time and place to connect where they can socialize with one another," Wellhaven Manager Beth Ann Schultz said.

Wellhaven tenants and seniors of the community are welcome to participate in many of the activities provided through Wellhaven and the River Falls Senior Center. For more information, call 715-426-4646.
