RF Days: The Greatest Show on the Kinni
River Falls is set to celebrate the 45th River Falls Days festival July 11-14. This annual event kicks off in a new way this year. The fireworks display, previously held on Sunday evening, will be lighting up the sky Thursday at dusk (10 p.m.) to kick off the weekend and celebrate this year's theme: The Greatest Show on the Kinni.
Highlights of the 2019 festival include a 10K/2-Mile/Kid's Fun Run, parade, medallion hunt, fireworks and other family-friendly activities all weekend long. Attendees can also enjoy a cold beverage at the beer garden, sample dishes from multiple food vendors, and experience live music. With countless additional events and activities taking place throughout the community, including meals, sporting events and displays, there is something for everyone to appreciate.
Kick up your heels with live music from Rural Route 5 on Friday evening (free entry), who has taken the Midwest country music scene by storm. Saturday evening's entertainment line-up includes a performance by The Bad Habits Brass, with their funky mix of dance and soul music. Stick around and enjoy live music from IV Play, where this premiere rock band will have you on the dance floor in no time. Attendees receive free admission to the Saturday evening bands with purchase of a River Falls Days button, which also enters the buyer into the annual raffle. Buttons are available for purchase at several local businesses or at the Chamber office (215 W. Maple St.) Additional music includes performances by Little Wing on Friday, and Chris and Ari Silver and The Pickled Beats on Saturday.
Classic cars, hot rods, and motorcycles are welcome to "cruze" into River Falls for the Annual Car Cruze Sunday, July 14 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Other great Sunday activities include live music by Nici Peper and The Tommy Bentz Band, the Annual Great Duck Race, and more!
