Greenwood Elementary staff say they're looking forward to seeing families enjoy themselves at the annual Greenwood Carnival and Silent Auction. The event, hosted by the Greenwood PTO, has been a tradition for more than 20 years.

This year's event is set for Saturday, Feb. 24, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Greenwood Elementary.

"Our goal is to provide a cheap option for families to entertain themselves," said Principal Nate Schurman. "And also to raise funds for Greenwood that will likely be used to upgrade technology and replace outdated classroom furniture."

Greenwood paraprofessional Tera Wachtler said she hopes people come, enjoy the event, and support the schools.

The carnival is open to all in the community.

The games, silent auction prizes and refreshments are updated yearly, said Schurman.
