Don Kruger, 67 of River Falls, died on Saturday, Aug. 15, 2009, at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minn. Don was born on Aug. 5, 1942, in Red Wing, Minn., to Starr and Grace (Enberg) Kruger. The family lived in Hager City. He attended Wilson Grade School and he graduated from Ellsworth High School in 1960. He was married to Donna M. (Krauss) Kruger, and has lived in River Falls his entire life. For over 40 years, Don was a co-owner of Quality Built Homes in River Falls and a lifelong member of the First Covenant Church. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, playing golf and most of all his family.
Brandon R. Falteisek, 46, formerly of River Falls, passed away at Lake Nebagamon on Friday, July 24, 2009. Parents are Paul Falteisek and Rosalie Harper.
Shirley Clark, 74, of River Falls, passed away at her residence on Saturday, Aug. 15, 2009. She was born on Aug. 17, 1934, in International Falls, Minn., daughter of Joseph and Robina (Watson) Raymond. Shirley was united in marriage to James Clark on Oct. 4, 1975, in Watertown, S.D. She worked as a Staff Assistant to the Chairman of the Board of North Central and then Republic Airlines. She took early retirement to spend more time with her family. Shirley enjoyed gardening, crocheting, baking, and puzzle books.
Brandon R. Falteisek, 46, formerly of River Falls, Wis. passed away at Lake Nebagamon, Wis. on July 24, 2009. Parents are Paul Falteisek and Rosalie Harper.

Memorial visitation from 4-8 p.m. Thursday, August 20 at Bakken-Young Funeral Home in River Falls and also one hour before the service Friday at church. Shirley Clark, age 74, of River Falls, passed away at her residence on Saturday, August 15, 2009. Mass of Christian Burial 12 p.m. (noon) on Friday, August 21, 2009, at St. Bridget's Catholic Church in River Falls with Father Gerald Harris officiating. Burial in St. Bridget's Cemetery. Family and friends invited to call on Friday at the church from 11 a.m. until the time of service. H. James Pratt, 81, of River Falls, died Monday, Aug. 3, 2009, at River Falls Area Hospital. He was born the son of Harold and Florence (Jenks) Pratt on June 21, 1928, in Brooklyn, N.Y. On March 17, 1979, Jim married Jeanne Brophy in River Falls. He worked for 3M for 34 years retiring in 1987. For 38 years, Jim recorded for the Minnesota Radio Talking Book Network (Communication Center for the State Services for the Blind) and volunteered for many years reading the newspaper to the residents at the Kinnic Home.
Michael A. Aus, 58, of Fountain City, died Tuesday, Aug. 4, 2009, at his home after a two-year battle with lymphoma. Mike was born on Feb. 18, 1951, in Amery, to Thomas and Jean Aus. He graduated from River Falls High School in 1969. On Nov. 3, 1973, Mike married Mary Sutter. He put himself through college working at the Andersen Corporation in Bayport, Minn. Mike received his Bachelor of Science degree in math and accounting from the UW-River Falls. He was a member of Theta Chi Fraternity.
Mildred Daphine Larrabee, 92, of Ellsworth and formerly of River Falls, died on Thursday, July 30, 2009, at the Ellsworth Care Center. Mildred was born on Sept. 24, 1916, in Webster City, Iowa, the daughter of George and Hallie (Arbogast) Briles. She married Willard Larrabee on June 14, 1936. Mildred was a 32-year employee of Smead Mfg. in River Falls. Mildred loved spoiling her grandkids who were the center of her life.
Lawrence W. Jones, 94, of River Falls and formerly of Berkley, Mich., died Friday, July 31, 2009, at Comforts of Home in River Falls. He was born on May 2, 1915, in Pulaski, Ky., to Richard and Lucinda (Thompson) Jones. Lawrence served the community of Berkley for over 40 years and retired from the Sealtest Corporation in 1979. In 1995, he was preceded in death by his wife, Edna (Trivett) Jones. Lawrence was a beloved father, father-in-law, grandfather and great-grandfather.
