Juliet Agnes Aamodt Dandy, age 98, of Spring Valley, died Monday, Nov. 1, 2010, at the Spring Valley Health Care Center. Juliet was born Feb. 2, 1912, the daughter of Albert and Estel (Ertel) Marker at Lawton, in Martell Township, Wis. On Oct. 15, 1931, Juliet married Lyle Aamodt at Minneapolis, Minn. They were blessed with three children: Arland, Luverne, and Lucille. They farmed in Gilman Township from 1931 until 1957 when they left the farm and moved to Martell Township. Juliet then worked for Smeads in River Falls for several years. Lyle died in 1979.
Linda Jean Bevington Dusek passed away Nov. 4, 2010 of a short-term illness. Linda was born Sept. 11, 1951, to Leonard and Mary (Kolling) Bevington in River Falls. She has one sister, Mary Gail Altman of Woodville. She graduated from River Falls High School and later in life went to art school. Her interest was horses to sketch. She was an excellent artist. She has three sons, Richard, Robert, and Joseph Peter (deceased) from a previous marriage. She married John Dusek of River Falls.
Bernard R. "Bernie" Johnson, age 87, of Beldenville, died peacefully at the Ellsworth Care Center on Sunday, Oct. 31, 2010. Born Oct. 5, 1923, to Jenny (Larson) Johnson, he was raised and lived his life in rural Beldenville.
Ralph Chilson, age 87, of Spring Valley, died Friday, Oct. 29, 2010, at Spring Valley Health Care Center. Funeral services will be at 11:30 a.m. Monday, Nov. 1, at Keehr Funeral Home, Spring Valley, with Rev. D. Peter Friberg officiating. Visitation will be from 10:30-11:30 a.m. at the funeral home prior to the service on Monday. Keehr Funeral Home, Spring Valley, is handling arrangements.
Katherine Elizabeth King of 425 Chinworth Court, Warsaw, Ind., passed away on Wednesday, Oct. 27, 2010, at 4:45 a.m., at Gardens of Lake City, Warsaw, at the age of 95. She was born on Jan. 25, 1915, in Washtucna, Wash., to the late Joseph Gareth Crosby and Amelia (Rogers) Crosby. On August 8, 1940, she was married to George Donald King, who died in 2006. Katherine graduated from Lewis & Clark High School in Spokane, Wash. She then attended Whitworth College in Spokane, and later attended Washington State University receiving her BA in 1941.
Delmar Van Galen, age 91, of River Falls, formerly of Waupun, Wis., passed away on Monday, Oct. 25, 2010, at Comforts of Home in River Falls. There will be a private graveside service in Highland Memory Gardens in Beaver Dam, Wis., at a later date. Ethel Evelyn Miller, age 98, of Lakeland, Minn., died on Saturday morning, Oct. 23, 2010, at River Falls Hospital. She was born the daughter of Rennie and Gertrude (Johnson) Frazier on June 10, 1912, in East Grand Forks, Minn. Ethel married Otto R. Miller and they were blessed with three children, Robert, David and Ruth Ann. Otto preceded her in death in 1968. Ethel was a very self-sufficient and capable woman.
Lucille I. Storm, age 86, of River Falls, died Wednesday, Oct. 20, 2010, at United Hospital in St. Paul. She was born the daughter of Carl and Ethel (Smith) Pfeiffer on Oct. 10, 1924, in Madison, Wis. On Dec. 24, 1957, she married Herman R. Storm.
Monica Dusek, age 94, of Florence, Ore., former longtime resident of Ellsworth and River Falls, Wis., died Tuesday, Sept. 14, 2010, at her home in Florence. A memorial mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 30, at St. Bridget Catholic Church, River Falls. Fr. Gerald Harris will officiate. Burial of cremated remains will be in the church cemetery. Cashman-Hill Funeral Home & Cremation Services, River Falls, is assisting the family with arrangements.
Mici R. Luedtke, age 52, of River Falls, died suddenly on Monday, Oct. 18, 2010, at his home. He was born the son of Alfred and Linda (Calhoun) Luedtke on Feb. 12, 1958, in Michigan. Mici worked for the Local #512 Iron Workers Union and valued his membership at Ezekiel Lutheran Church and AA.
