Duane L. Wieland, age 68, of Durand, formerly of Urne, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, August 20, 2010, while working at Lutheran Home Campus in River Falls. Duane was born at home in Urne on Feb. 27, 1942. He was the son of LaVerne Sr. and Clara (Thompson) Wieland. Duane attended Urne grade school and Durand High School. After school, Duane joined the U.S. Navy in 1961 and served on the USS Saratoga until 1966. Duane married Maxine Forster on Sept. 17, 1966, and they later divorced. He married Twylah Carpenter on June 18, 1983, in Stockholm.
Guy Robert Wennblom, 47, Diamond Bluff, died Thursday, August 19, at Saint Marys Hospital, Rochester. He was born Jan. 4, 1963, in Graceville, Minn., the son of Robert and Lori Wennblom. He was a 1981 graduate of River Falls High School and he attended the University of Wisconsin-River Falls and Dunwoody Institute. He married Jane Thygesen on Oct. 24, 1992 in Red Wing. He was employed by Data Card in Minneapolis, RAM Center in Red Wing and for the past ten years at Bi-Phase, a division of Schwan's. He was a member of St.
Thomas G. Kuehl, 76, of Solon Springs, Wis., passed away June 29, 2010. Tom taught German and English for 22 years at River Falls High School. In 1984, he moved to California, returning to Solon Springs in 2001. Survived by his children, Sheri and Richard of St. Paul; brother, Walter Kuehl of Oceanside, Calif.
Bea Moira Kunde passed peacefully in her mommy's arms and surrounded by her daddy's love on July 29, 2010. Bea was born at 7:58 a.m. on June 18, 2010, weighing 4 pounds, 14 ounces, to a waiting crowd of admirers.

Ramona Johnson Pagel, of Neenah, age 70, died peacefully surrounded by her family and friends at Cherry Meadows Hospice following a short battle with cancer. Mona was born on May 10, 1940, in Minneapolis, daughter of the late Leonard M. and Bernice L. (Anderson) Johnson. Mona graduated from River Falls High School in 1958. She then graduated from Stout State College in 1962 with a degree in home economics and was a sister in the Alpha Sigma Alpha Sorority. Mona taught home economics in Berlin, Wis., for two years and then on June 27, 1964, she married Ken J. Pagel in River Falls.
George "Bob" R. Schoeneck, age 89, of River Falls, passed away on Monday, August 16, 2010, at the Lutheran Home in River Falls. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, August 18, at Cashman-Hill Funeral Home in River Falls. Visitation will be one hour prior to the funeral at the funeral home on Wednesday. DeLoris Emma Clay, affectionately called "Lolly," 82 years old, of River Falls, Wis., formerly of Shakopee, Minn., died Friday, August 13, 2010, at Fairview Ridges Hospital in Burnsville, Minn. DeLoris was born Nov. 23, 1927, in Shakopee, the daughter of Oscar and Bertha (Mueller) Siedow. She married John H. Clay on June 16, 1951, at St. John's Lutheran Church, Shakopee. She worked as a dental technician for Dr.
Kenneth Wall, age 95, formerly of Ellsworth, passed away on August 13, 2010, at the Baldwin Care Center. Funeral services will be 12 p.m. (noon) Tuesday, August 17, at Hill Funeral Home in Ellsworth with Reverend Shelly Lyksett officiating. Interment will be in Maple Grove Cemetery. Allan Dale Buttenhoff passed away after a lengthy battle with leukemia. Al was born July 24, 1937, in Melrose, Wis., son of Alfred and Dorothy Buttenhoff. He grew up in North Bend, Wis. He graduated from the Melrose, Wis., high school in 1955. He was a member of the U.S. Air Force from 1956 to 1962, serving some of that time in Japan. He married Sandra (Henjum) June 13, 1964, and a year later they moved to River Falls, Wis., where they have made their home for the past 46 years. Al loved living in River Falls and he loved all the friends he made bowling, fishing, golfing and farming.
