David W. Johnson, age 92, of Ellsworth, died Monday, June 8, 2009, at the Ellsworth Care Center, Ellsworth, Wis. David was born on Oct. 4, 1916, in Stockholm, Wis., the son of Hilding and Frankie (Nygard) Johnson. He was a longtime Pierce County farmer and Armours Meats employee. He married Isabel Larson. David loved his grandkids and great grandkids, going for drives and had a great sense of humor.
Leona Ann Beskar, age 93, of Prescott died Tuesday, June 2, 2009, at her home. Leona was born on Nov. 22, 1915, in the town of White Bear Lake, the daughter of Philip and Louise (Kohler) Buberl. She was a graduate of White Bear Lake High School. Leona was a White Bear girl, who met, and later married a Big River farmer, Leo J. Beskar. Leona was the founder of the Big River Hustlers 4H club and long-time 4H leader. She was a former member of St. Mary's Catholic Church and Altar Society, and current member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church. As a member of St.
Norbert J. Rohl, age 32, of Ellsworth, died suddenly at his home. Bert was born on May 21, 1977, in Red Wing, Minn., the son of Carol (Cashman) and Donald Rohl. He was a graduate of Ellsworth High School and married Stacey Gulbranson on May 5, 2007, at English Lutheran Church. He belonged to the Laborers Local 132 and currently was working for Koch Refinery.
Jack A. Zwolenski, 70, of Ellsworth, died Monday, May 11, 2009 at his home. Jack was born Aug. 26, 1938 in Minneapolis, Minn., the son of John A. and Grace (Fassett) Zwolenski. He was a graduate of Ellsworth High School. On Oct. 11, 1958 Jack married Peggy Dusek at St.
Lois Reinhardt, age 83, of Woodville died Wednesday, May 6, 2009, at the Baldwin Area Medical Center. Funeral services were Monday, May 11, at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Woodville, with Rev. Wayne Hilgendorf officiating. Burial is in the Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery. Keehr Funeral Home, Spring Valley, is handling arrangements.
Richard G. Hanson, age 55, of Ellsworth, passed away on Saturday, May 2, 2009, involved in a tragic motorcycle accident. He was born Jan. 12, 1954, in River Falls. He was the son of Roy and Doris (Bredahl) Hanson. Richard grew up and lived all his life in Trimbelle Township on County O and graduated from the Ellsworth High School. Richard was in his first derby at the Gaslight when he was 16 and continued to be involved for the next 20 years. Richard married Carlene Kuhlmann on Sept.
