UW River Falls

The corpse flower at UW-River Falls is showing signs that it will bloom once again. The last time it bloomed was in August 2013. When it blooms, it emits an odor similar to rotting flesh. The smell attracts beetles and flies that pollinate the plant. Once it blooms, the huge flower only stays open for a few hours, perhaps a day.
