River Falls senior JP Eaton competes in the squat competition at the 2013 USA Powerlifting High School National Competition in Denver earlier this month. Eaton went on to become the first varsity national champion from River Falls.

A pair of River Falls players helped the sixth grade Minnesota Heat Elite basketball team to a second place finish at the Badger City Classic Invitational in Madison April 12-14. Locals shine in Madison

Zachary Greenquist of River Falls placed fifth in his age group (15 and 16 year olds) last Saturday at an indoor rock climbing competition in Kansas City, Mo. Greenquist is a member of the Vertical Endeavors Advanced Rock Climbing Team out of Minneapolis/St. Paul and is the son of Chad and Jennifer Greenquist.

After trekking 26.2 miles up a mountain and through a sand pit, members of the Fighting Saints Battalion, which included two 2011 River Falls High School graduates, raced to the finish line at Bataan Memorial Death March with a time of 5:48:07.
