In June The River Falls United Methodist Church celebrated Peace with Justice Sunday by dedicating a Peace Pole, a six-foot tall, six-sided granite pole just south of the church's steeple. The words "May Peace Prevail on Earth" are inscribed in 12 languages or formats: Latin, music, English, German, French, sign language, Spanish, Chinese, Hebrew, Arabic, Korean and Lakota Sioux. In 1955 Masahisa Goi, a Japanese poet and philosopher, erected a peace pole at Hiroshima in response to the bombings on Hirosh...
