At first light, overcast skies draped across the Peterson Family Farm property as family members did chores and prepared for the crowd. A wild lightning display and heavy rain struck the River Falls area around 6 a.m. so attendees had to brave some puddles and scattered raindrops after 8 a.m., but diners were protected under a large tent.
