Wildcat golfers finish 10th at state

The River Falls High School girls’ golf team cut nine strokes off its first day total of 384 to shoot 375 Tuesday and finish in tenth place at the 12-team 2013 WIAA Division 1 Girls State Golf Championships at University Ridge Golf Course in Madison.

Sydney Brunholzl was the highest individual finisher for the Wildcats, tying for 45<sup>th</sup> place with a two-day total of 181 (86-95). Abby James carded back-to-back rounds of 93 to finish with a total of 186 while Rachael Meyer shaved 14 strokes off Monday’s total of 102 to post a team-low 88 Tuesday for a two-day score of 190.

Maddie Wagner finished at 203 (104-99) and Halle Hauer had 204 (103-101) to round out the Wildcat lineup.

Arrowhead won the state team title with a total score of 638 followed by Verona with 648. Eau Claire North placed seventh with 706 while River Falls was tenth with 759.

Verona’s Jessica Reinecke won the individual title with a one-under-par score of 143 (69-74).
