Wildcat football falls at ECM

Eau Claire Memorial scored a touchdown on the first play of the game and built a 35-14 halftime lead on its way to defeating River Falls, 54-14, in a Big Rivers Conference football game on a wet Carson Park Field in Eau Claire Friday night, Oct. 4.

The Wildcats scored two second quarter touchdowns on James Witt passes of 22 yards to Sam Purfeerst and 33 yards to Adrian Paurus.

Eau Claire Memorial finished with 484 total yards while the Wildcats totaled 286. Witt completed 7-of-15 passes for 121 yards while Brian Grove carried the ball four times for 51 yards.

River Falls dropped to 0-5 in BRC play, 1-6 overall, while Eau Claire Memorial improved to 2-3 in the conference, 3-4 overall.
