Cats Fall to ECN in BRC football opener

River Falls turned the ball over four times, leading to three Eau Claire North touchdowns, as the Huskies snapped a 19-game losing streak with a 46-14 victory over the Wildcats Friday night, Sept. 6, at Carson Park in Eau Claire.

Eau Claire North took advantage of three Wildcat fumbles in the first half to take a 33-6 halftime lead.

River Falls’ touchdowns came on a pair of James Witt touchdown passes—a 4-yarder to Jackson Vanderwagen in the first quarter and a 39-yard pass to Kenny Oberlin in the third.

See the Sept. 12 print edition of the River Falls Journal for more on the game.
