Happy Homecomings for Wildcats, Falcons

Both the River Falls High School and UW-River Falls football teams posted wins in their respective Homecoming games over the weekend.

The Wildcats defeated Eau Claire North 41-18 Friday night and the Falcons knocked off previously undefeated UW-Stevens Point, 36-30, Saturday to give head coach John O'Grady his 100th career win. Both games were played at Ramer Field.

Senior Levi Johnson rushed for 247 yards and four touchdowns in the Cats' victory over the Old Abes. Mark Bennett returned a blocked punt 5 yards for a touchdown and Ben Wunrow added a 1 yard touchdown run.

Saturday, sophomore wide receiver Michael Zweifel had 16 catches for 139 yards and two touchdowns in the Falcons' win over Stevens Point. Matt Pollock had a 5 yard scoring run and Greg Klingelhutz returned a kickoff 86 yards for a touchdown while Patrick Houlton had a 19 yard touchdown catch. Quarterback Storm Harmon completed 26-of-33 passes for 241 yards and three scores.
