Wildcat Hall of Fame announces Class of 2013

Eight individuals and one team will be inducted into the River Falls High School Wildcat Hall of Fame when the third annual Wildcat Hall of Fame Golf Tournament and Banquet takes place Friday, Aug. 2, at Kilkarney Hills Golf Club.

The Wildcat Hall of Fame was established in 2011 to highlight the accomplishments of River Falls High School alumni, coaches and friends.

This year's class includes athletes Mike Danielson, David Farley, Tom Field, Melissa Matteson-Ollerman and Kady Kleven-Bauschelt.

Former Wildcat football coach Tom Carroll will be inducted into the Coaches category and Jerry Carter will enter the hall in the Legacy category while former governor Warren Knowles is the Distinguished Citizen. The 1997 Wildcat wrestling team will also be honored.

The festivities begin with registration for the Wildcat Open Golf Tournament at 11:30 a.m. with a shotgun start at 12:30 p.m. Social hour will be from 5:30- 7 p.m. and dinner from 7-8 p.m. with the Hall of Fame Induction Banquet from 8-10 p.m.

Bob Burrows
Bob Burrows has been sports editor at the River Falls Journal since 1996 and at the Hudson Star-Observer since 2009. Prior to joining the Journal, Burrows served as sports editor with Ledger Publications in Balsam Lake, Wis. A native of Bayonne, N.J. and a U.S. Navy veteran, Burrows attended Marquette University before completing his studies at UW-River Falls in 1992.
