State swimming: 200 free relay takes 11th

River Falls' 200 yard freestyle relay team turned in an 11th place finish at the WIAA Boys Division 2 Swimming and Diving Championships in Madison.

The Cats' 200 medley relay team finished 16th while diver T.J. Baldini placed 14th.

The 200 freestyle relay team of sophomore Tom Ramquist, sophomore Alex Haskins, junior Isaac Dzubay and senior Shamus Maloney combined for a time of 1 minute, 32.54 seconds to nip Rice Lake for 11th place. McFarland won the state title with a time of 1:26.29.

In the 200 medley relay, Dzubay, senior Brad Kessler, Ramquist and Maloney teamed up for a 16th place time of 1:45.29. McFarland won the race with a new state-record time of 1:33.81.

Baldini moved from 15th place after the preliminary round to finish 14th with a score of 130.55.
