Letter: Donation left me speechless

Angela Kaiser presents a $750 anonymous check she received at her home from "People in Business Care" based in Cannon Falls, Minn., to Chris Blasius and Janet Burns (team Bite Back). Submitted photo.

Imagine my surprise when I went to my door late one night and an envelope was wedged between the doors of my home.

The envelope was already opened but was addressed to ‘Relay for Life’ with my address.

As I peered inside I came upon a note that said this: “To Whom It May Concern, enclosed you will find a check for $750.00. We would like to donate this money so you are able to continue to help those in need. Thanks for everything you do! Please let us know if we can help in any other way. Sincerely, PBIC-People In Business Care”

I was speechless and teary eyed...who was this from?

I looked into the business from Cannon Falls, Minn., and found that it makes charitable donations to organizations involved with health, human services and community development.

I delivered the check to the Relay for Life Friday night and told this story to everyone I met.

I know there is a local person or persons who are behind this wonderful gift and want to remain anonymous for a reason, but know that in my prayers I am thanking God for people like you who make a difference in this world.

Peace to you and yours.
