Letter: Global warming debate is not all one sided

As the global warming debate moves on, the pro-manmade global warming side would like us to believe that all scientific data points to manmade global warming and the discussion should end there.

That would be fine if that were true and there was no dissenting points of view from science. But alas, it's not.

Good science is published in peer-reviewed literature.

I would suggest starting with Milutin Milankovitch, who is best known for developing one of the most significant theories relating Earth motions and long-term climate change.

Dr George Kukla was the lead author of the scientific paper that first supported Milutin Milankovic's theory of glacial cycles.

Another very informative paper is "Nature, Not Human Activity, Rules the Climate," this can be found at

A very good source that quotes reputable scientists who are experts in their field and dispute global warming is This website even quotes one of Al Gore's mentors.

Another fallacy that the pro-manmade global warming side would like people to believe is that very few scientist dispute global warming. And those that do are out of touch.

In 2008 the Global Warming Petition Project was started. The purpose of the Petition Project is to demonstrate that the claim of "settled science" and an overwhelming "consensus" in favor of the hypothesis of human-caused global warming and consequent climatological damage is wrong.

31,478 American scientists have signed this petition, including 9,029 with PhDs. I would say that is a fairly large number who disagree.

For a full summary of the petition including a full list of who signed and full summary of the report, go to

Take the time and find out for yourself what's true. It's worth your time.
