Jennifer Jane Olson, 33

Our daughter, Jennifer Jane Olson, died peacefully at Sacred Heart Hospital in Eau Claire, Wis., on Aug. 8, 2017. She was honored as a hero on Aug. 9, 2017 with the raising of the "Donor Flag" at Sacred Heart commemorating the giving of her gifts of life to many transplant recipients.

Jennifer was born on March 22, 1984, in Olivia, Minn. She lived in rural River Falls with her parents, Jane and Craig Olson for many years since 1987. She graduated from River Falls HS with special honors in 2003. Jenny most recently lived at the Garlick's Group Home in Mondovi, Wis. She loved to go fishing, camping, bike riding, and for walks with her dogs and cats. She had a sweet and giving personality. Jenny had many pets of all kinds including bunnies, fish, ducks, guinea pigs and raising chickens to sell their eggs. Jenny loved her: Lord, family, friends, and neighbors with her whole heart, mind, and soul. Jenny was a bright, shining light in this world. She was loved deeply and will be missed everyday.

Jenny is survived by her parents Jane and Craig Olson; and her brother Robert who lives with his wife Andrea and their 11 month old son Samuel in Dallas, Texas. She is also survived by her paternal grandparents Gerald and Devonna Olson who live in Amery, Wis.; as well as her maternal grandmother Jacqueline Mahlke who lives in Winona, Minn.

A celebration of Jennifer's life will be held at 3 p.m. on Sunday, August 20, at HOPE Lutheran Church (3337 Kingsbarn Ave.) in River Falls, WI. Please direct monetary gifts to Craig and Jane Olson which will be shared with HOPE Lutheran Church and Mary Jo Labair @ Garlick's CBRF, Inc. (Jennifer's group home). Thank you.
