Ramona Merriman, 82
Ramona "Monie" Merriman, age 82, of River Falls, died Monday, July 15, at the Christian Community Home in Hudson where she resided the past year. Family members were at her side.
Monie was born Sept. 25, 1930, in Ellsworth, Wis., to Arvia and Inez (Roatch) Merriman. She was the ninth of ten children in the family.
Monie began her employment as a lab tester for the Baldwin Creamery. When the creamery closed, she went to work in the Twin Cities for Dairy Quality Control. She retired early after she was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis.
Monie did not marry and had no children of her own. However, her nieces and nephews and great-nieces and -nephews spent much time with her camping, fishing, and driving her car! She loved her bowling and, after retiring, spent hours working with crafts. Monie also devoted several years taking care of the record books for the Beldenville Cemetery.
She enjoyed time with her friends and loved her time with family - especially on the holidays.
Monie was preceded in death by her parents, as well as siblings Lee, Bill, Rex, Mavis, Donna Jean, Maxine, and Merlin. Also nephews Terry Merriman and Lee Rudiger and niece Lila Merriman Clay.
Monie will forever remain in the hearts of her brothers Max (Betty) Merriman of River Falls, Everal "Bud" Merriman of Clayton; sister-in-law Bonnie Merriman of Baldwin; and nieces and nephews and also many great- and great-great-nieces and -nephews, all of whom she dearly cherished.
A time to reflect on Monie's life will be at 3 p.m. Sunday, July 21, at the O'Connell Family Funeral Home in Hudson. Private interment will be at Beldenville Cemetery. Memorials preferred to Beldenville Cemetery or donor's choice.
Funeral services were entrusted to the O'Connell Family Funeral Home & Countryside Crematory.
