Four Wildcats All-BRC Football

Four members of the Wildcat football team have been named to the 2017 All-Big Rivers Conference Second Team.

Senior offensive lineman Jack Stoffel was a repeat selection to the all-conference second team while senior defensive lineman Mitchell Williamson earned second team honors after receiving honorable mention a year ago. Sophomore running back Seth Kohel and junior punter Taylor Tirrell were both first time selections.

Stoffel anchored an offensive line that allowed the Wildcats to run for over 160 yards per game this season. Kohel finished just 39 yards short of the 1,000 yard mark while finishing third in the conference in rushing with an average of 106 yards. His 10 rushing touchdowns were tied for fifth in the BRC.

Williamson averaged nearly six tackles per game to earn a spot on the All-BRC Second Team Defense while Tirrell averaged 37.6 yards per punt, second best in the conference, to earn a spot on special teams.

Justin Evans of Menomonie was named the BRC Offensive Player of the Year while Cole Godbout of Hudson earned Defensive Player of the Year honors. Joe LaBuda of Menomonie was named the 2017 Coach of the Year.

The Wildcats finished the season with a record of 2-5 in BRC play, 2-7 overall.
